Well, it’s been a long six months since my last post, but rest assured I’m alive and well and writing. The reason for my lack of activity is because my husband and I are moving to a different state. This is my last week in the hellishly hot state of Arizona. We’ve wanted out of this heat and dryness for some time now, and we’re finally making the change.
Our new home will be in Washington state where I hope beyond hope that I’ll never see the sun again. I’m a rain girl. I love it. And clouds make me insanely happy and energized. And I love cool weather. Needless to say, the 360 sunny days and 300 days of heat a year in Arizona has worn on my last nerve. I want seasons. I want to breath clean air and not have it sear my lungs. I want to take my dogs out on adventures without burning the pads off their paws. This move is long overdue.
I’d like to say that after the move I’ll start some consistency on this blog, but it’s going to take me a few months to settle into our new home. But I do have plans to publish my standalone fantasy book hopefully before the end of the year. It’s all written and cleaned as much as I can clean it. Alas, getting an editor and going through the publishing process will take time.
In the meanwhile, I’ve been working on my new series. I’m on a very rough draft of book three of what will probably be a five book series. I might shorten it to four depending on how it goes. I’m having a blast writing these books and can’t wait to share them.
So until I get back on track, expect this blog to be quiet, but know that I’m still writing. And of course here are some pictures of my puppies. Unfortunately our older boy had to stay home when we went on this trip, so it’s just Adok and Denali this time.
