Well, the day has finally come. Keepers of Arden: The Brothers’ series has come to an end. The fourth and final book hit Amazon and Smashwords yesterday, and within the next two weeks, it will be available on iBooks, Kobo, and Barnes and Noble, as well as a few other sites. The print book will take probably another month or two to get ready, depending on how the proofs turn out. Check out My Books tab for purchasing links. I’ll update it as they become available. Also, if you haven’t done so, check out Prey: Seven Tales of Beastly Terror. I have a short story in it, and the proceeds to a good cause: the World Wildlife Fund.
I’m sad to part with these characters. It is my first series, after all, and I’m rather attached to them, not to mention that they taught me tons about writing and publishing. I did leave myself a few story lines open that I could revisit later on if I so choose and if there are enough requests to do so. However, I’m dead set on getting another story finished first so I can submit it to a publisher. I never tried with this series, and the book I’m working on is a stand alone, so I plan on using it as a guide to traditional publishing. I’ve heard nightmares about it as many times as I’ve heard positives. Guess I’ll find out for myself soon enough. I’m also working on a series of short stories (perhaps novellas) I’ll be releasing on Amazon for free via ebook only. That is, unless while I’m writing it, it turns into something else entirely. As I’ve discovered with Keepers, plans can sometimes go awry the more a story develops on paper.
For those who’ve kept up with Keepers of Arden, I hope you like the final book, and I can’t thank you enough for your support. And because I’m super in love with my puppies, here’s a recent pic of the three of them.
