This morning, I’m participating in a blog tour thingumajig (as Mr. White so eloquently put it).
I’m honored to follow the extremely talented Thaddeus White. I’ve read all three of his books and find his writing to be stunning and his stories engaging. My favorite book is Sir Edric’s Temple, which is a fantasy adventure/comedy. I cannot recommend this book enough! Here’s where you can find Mr. White:
Now, on to the blog questions and my answers:
What is the name of your character? Is he/she fictional or a historic person? Salvarias Laybryth, brother to Wilhelm Laybryth. Yes, he is purely fictional.
When and where is the story set? The story is set on the continent of Dalnar on the world of Arden. Salvarias’s story begins about a thousand years after god Nevlar’s Retribution struck apart the world, at a time when darkness is encroaching on the restless peace Arden had built since being abandoned by the higher gods.
What should we know about him/her? Salvarias is a mage spawned by shadowfires—rather unpleasant creatures. Planted inside him is a seed of evil that he must constantly shield his soul from lest he lose himself to the darkness within.
What is the main conflict? What messes up his/her life? Salvarias’s life takes a turn for the worse two years after his birth and it never stops. He faces predicament after predicament, and along the way he uncovers his “oddities,” as he calls them.
What is the personal goal of the character? To save his soul from the darkness growing within him.
Is there a working title for this novel, and can we read more about it? The title is, Keepers of Arden: The Brothers Volume 1, and it is available as ebook or you can order a paperback online. Visit here for purchase links.
When can we expect the book to be published? The book was published in June of 2013. I hope to have book two published by the end of this year.
The author following me on this little adventure is Jo Michaels, author of too many books to list, a blogger who conducts interviews and book reviews for readers, blogs valuable tips for writers, and on top of all that she is an amazing supporter of indie authors.
You’ll see her post in about a week. Here’s where to find her and a bit of information about her:

Hi, I’m Jo. Let’s forget all the “Jo Michaels is blah, blah, blah” stuff and just go with it. I’m a voracious reader (often reading more than one book at a time), a writer, a book reviewer, a mom, a wife, and one of the EICs at INDIE Books Gone Wild. I have an almost photographic memory and tend to make people cringe at the number of details I can recall about them and/or their book(s). My imagination follows me around like a conjoined twin and causes me to space out pretty often or laugh out loud randomly in completely inappropriate situations.
